SERIFU

SERIFU is the software which reads out the script text file in the voice.
You can use Microsoft Speech API / Microsoft Speech Platform.

The Software is provided "AS IS," without a warranty of any kind.

In no case shall the author be liable for any damage or unwanted behavior of any computer hardware and/or software.

No Rental. Customer may not rent or lease the SOFTWARE to someone else.

All title and copyrights in and to the SOFTWARE (including but not limited to all images, photographs, animations, video, audio, music, text, and other information incorporated into the SOFTWARE), the accompanying printed materials, and any copies of the SOFTWARE, are owned by KANAE PROJECT.

The SOFTWARE is protected by copyright laws and international treaty provisions. Accordingly, Customer is required to treat the SOFTWARE like any other copyrighted material, except as otherwise allowed pursuant to this LICENSE and that it may make one copy of the SOFTWARE solely for backup or archive purposes.

1) Double click "SERIFU" Icon.

 

2) Set the script text file to read out.

Click the Open button on the menu displayed to click the menu button. You can drop it to the SERIFU window.

3) Click the Voice button and choose the player's voice.

The actor list extracted from script text file is displayed. You can choose each actor's voice.
If you select the same name file which you selected before, the actors' voice is selected automatically.

4) Click words to read out.

If you click the words, selected words are read out by the selected voice. Click the Forword button or press the key, if you want select next words.

5) Record the voice

If you click the Record button, you have words recorded by the recording device selected by the setup. If you click the Stop button, the Save dialog is displayed and the recorded wav file is saved.

• Please choose the device which can record the sound played by Windows, such as sound redirection or the stereo mixer, as a recording device. The microphone cannot record the sound played by Windows.

Forward button

The following line as which script text file is chosen is read out.

Voice button

You can choose the voice of the actor of script text file.

Actor:

You can choose the actor who reads out. The words of other actors are turn to disabled.
All: All the actor can choose.

Action:

You can choose action when words are chosen.
Speech: The selected script is read out.
Copy to clipboard: The selected script is copied to the clipboard.

Record button

If you click the Record button, you have words recorded by the recording device selected by the setup. If you click the Stop button, the Save dialog is displayed and the recorded wav file is saved.

Menu button

The menu is shown.
Open button: You can set the script text file.
Setup button: You can open the setup dialog.

Actor's Voice

If you click the Voice button, it will be shown.

Actor:

The actor's name extracted from the words text file is shown. If you choose the actor, you can set the voice.

Voice:

You can choose the voice which reads out.

Volume:

If you choose Speech API ro Speech Platform, you can set the volume of reading out.

Rate:

If you choose Speech API ro Speech Platform, you can set the speaking speed of reading out.

Audio Out:

If you choose Speech API ro Speech Platform, you can set the playing device.

Setup of SERIFU

Click the Setup button on the menu displayed to click the Menu button.

Text Encode:

You can select the text encode of the script text file from ASCII and UTF-8. If you want to use SHIFT-JIS, please select ASCII.

Sound Recording Device:

You can choose the recording device.

• Please choose the device which can record the sound played by Windows, such as sound redirection or the stereo mixer, as a recording device. The microphone cannot record the sound played by Windows.

• You can use UTF-8 or ASCII text file.
• The number of the characters of the actor name is the less than 20.
• Divide words and the actor name by ":"
• If you start a new line for words, please be sure to give the actor name to the head of the line.
• "http://" is ignored.
• The line without the actor name is shown but it is not read out.
